Below is a Roadmap to gain access and complete the training.

Step One:

Please enter organization or individual learner information in the form and click Submit to create an account.

After initial registration, learners will receive an email that provides important information (registration emails should be saved). The registration email will contain user ids, temporary passwords, and the link to access the training portal. The email will also provide information on record retention and access to training history.

If a learner has trouble signing in, select Forgot your password? In the training portal and the system will send an email to the email on file with a link to update password and login credentials. Specific questions regarding sign-in or other technical issues can be addressed through the Contact Page on the training portal.

Step Two:

Once an organization or individual learner account is created, the system will ask for payment and an email address to send the purchase receipt. The system will also add the training into the organization or individual Learning Management System account. (Note: please check spam if purchase receipt cannot be found in inbox.)

Step Three:

Learners should print the course outline (and other “handouts”) to understand the approximate length of each module and establish a plan to complete the training. The training is broken down into mini-sessions so learners can take the training at their own pace.

It is recommended that learners find a location that is free of distractions and allows them to study the outline and handouts. It is also recommended that learners take notes on the printed materials as they go through the modules.

Step Four:

Once the learner has the templates, formats, and examples downloaded and reviewed, it is time to start with the learning path.  Learners should review the courseware instructions and open the first training session.

Learners will take the training modules in sequential order. The system allows learners to exit the system and resume at a later time.

Note: Learners must complete the training in order. The software will not allow access to a module unless all the previous modules have been completed.

Step Five:

Learners will complete quizzes at the end of each training module. The quizzes are intended to test the learner’s understanding of each process step and the overall process. A minimum overall score of 80% is required to pass the training. It is possible to get a passing score of 80% even if a learner didn’t achieve 80% on one or more of the quizzes. If a learner fails the training, the learner may request the ability to retake one or more of the quizzes. However, the learner must complete all of the quizzes prior to requesting to retake an individual quiz.

Step Six:

ReliaTrain provides learners an opportunity to give feedback on the course via a survey. The survey will offer the opportunity to provide feedback on the following items:  ease of access to training material, quality of audio of training, quality of video, quality of training pace, and ability to use the training after completion. 

Step Seven:

If a learner passes the training, he or she will be prompted to print a Certificate of Completion.

APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) Process is a structured method that defines and establishes steps necessary to ensure products meet requirements and customer expectations. PFMEA is one of the required deliverables within the APQP process. APQP also requires companies to complete process flow (PFD – Process Flow Diagram) and control plans (PCP – Process Control Plan) within the APQP deliverables. There is a linkage of information between PFD, PFMEA and PCP and this training includes an overview of each process and the connection between all three. This training program is intended to provide an introduction and foundation of Process Flow Diagram, Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and Process Control Plan for anyone who is interested in implementing part or all of the methodology. The course comprehends the industry best practices and organizes them into a disciplined and logical 5 Step PFMEA Process – PLUS bonus examples of PFD, PFMEA, and PCP recommended documentation are provided!

This course is intended to provide training of process knowledge and techniques. At the end of this course you should be able to:

  • Implement Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) in a manufacturing process
  • Uncover “hidden factories” and material handling in PFDs
  • Describe the difference between value added and non-value added operation steps in PFD
